I installed Ubuntu 6.06 desktop ppc on a Mac G4 a while back. It just worked - I'm not aware of having to do anything special to get it to install. For clarity I should say I already had Ubuntu 5.10 installed, and tried first of all to upgrade it to Ubuntu 6.06.
