This phone is supported by iSync so would be recognised straight away  

by a Mac and would synchronise everything via bluetooth.

It's rather flaky with any version of Mac OS X before 10.4 (this may

just be general flakyness with iSync).

I use iSync all the time and have done so for years with no problems, but then I have a Palm so maybe the problem is with particular phones. I have found that, in general, a Palm (or Treo if you are looking for a smartphone) work better with non-Microsoft platforms.
